Site plan and content structure

About this service
Web development is the build work: turning a design into a site that actually loads, works on a phone, and does a specific job. It is the part after the planning, and it is where most website problems are won or lost.
A site has a job to do — bring enquiries, take bookings, or sell. Every decision on the build is measured against that job rather than against how impressive it looks.
You get a system your team can maintain, not pages only we can change. Documentation and a walkthrough come with it, because a site nobody but the builder can edit is a recurring invoice rather than an asset.
A good build is fast, does not break when someone edits a page, and can be maintained by someone other than the person who made it. That last point matters more than people expect. We hand over sites that you or any developer can pick up and change without a rebuild.
We build in two ways depending on what the site needs. WordPress when the content changes often and someone on your team needs to edit it without calling a developer. Custom code when the site does something WordPress would fight against, or when speed and control matter more than convenience.
Websites built around your business.
Platforms
All three are legitimate answers. The right one depends on who edits the site afterwards, what it has to do, and whether you are selling online. Here is the honest version of each.
Flexible Websites. Complete Control.
Best forContent-heavy sites, blogs and brochures that change regularly, especially where someone on your team will write and update the pages.
The right default for most business sites. You get a proper content system, a huge ecosystem of proven plugins, and control of your hosting and domain. The trade-off is that updates and security are yours to manage, so it needs someone keeping watch.
An Online Store Built to Sell.
Best forOnline stores where the priority is trading quickly and reliably rather than having a storefront nobody else has.
For selling online, this is usually faster and cheaper than building a shop. Payments, tax, shipping and checkout arrive working. You pay Shopify a monthly fee on top of the build, and the design is constrained by their theme system.
Purpose-Built Solutions for Unique Ideas.
Best forBusinesses whose site does something competitors' templates cannot, or who need it fast and fully under their own control.
No theme, no plugin, no page-builder ceiling. Every part is written for your problem, which is the only way to get the performance, the structure and the behaviour you actually need. It also costs more up front and means changes need a developer rather than a mouse.
Not sure which applies? Describe the site in one call and we will tell you — including when the honest answer is the option you had not considered. Ask before you commit.
Scope
Every page listed, with what each one is for and what a visitor should do next. Written down before the build, so nothing important gets forgotten.
Tested on real phone sizes, not just a squashed desktop. Most traffic to a business site is a phone in one hand.
Images sized and compressed, no unused code shipped, fonts loaded without blocking the page. You get the real numbers measured after launch, not a claim.
Clean page titles and descriptions, a sitemap, structured data, and proper heading order. Not a ranking promise — it is the minimum for a site to be eligible to rank.
A form that stores submissions properly, with spam filtering, so enquiries do not quietly disappear into an inbox you never read.
You get hosting and domain access in your name, and a walkthrough of how to make the everyday changes yourself.
Get a fixed quote
A useful quote starts with the real scope. Send the pages you need, what the site has to do, and any examples you like. If something is missing, we will ask before we price it.
WordPress, Shopify or a custom build — you get one written scope, a fixed price and a timeline before anything starts.
No long brief needed. Send what you know and we will fill the gaps on a short call.
What happens next
You send the basics
Pages needed, what the site must do, and a site or two you like.
We check the scope
One short reply with anything missing, so the quote is based on the real work.
You get it in writing
Page list, fixed price and timeline. Nothing starts until you approve it.
Process
What the site is for, who uses it, what they should do next, and what already exists. We look at your competitors here, which is usually the most useful part.
Page list, what each page says, what is built, what is not, the price and the timeline. Nothing is started until this is agreed.
You see real screens, not a mock-up of a screen. One round of changes is built into every stage rather than treated as an extra.
Front end, then the parts behind it. You get a link to the working site as soon as there is something to look at.
Phones, tablets, laptops, screen readers, forms, and the awkward cases. Then live, with speed measured and monitoring in place.

Questions
If your question is not here, ask it directly. We answer honestly, even when the answer is that we are not the right fit.
Website development costs vary depending on the project scope, design, functionality, and integrations. Contact us with your requirements to discuss your project and receive a tailored quote.
A focused business site is usually four to eight weeks from the first call to launch. That assumes content is ready or can be written in that window. Larger sites, or ones with accounts, payments or booking, run longer. You get a real date in the proposal rather than an optimistic one.
Yes, and this is one of the main reasons we build in WordPress. Text, images and most layout changes are editable without code. We hand it over with a walkthrough. If you would rather never touch it, we can look after the changes instead.
It will be built to be, and we measure the real page speed after launch rather than promising a number. That means sized images, no unused code, minimal third-party scripts and fonts that do not block the page. Most of what makes a site slow is avoidable, so this is a budget decision as much as a technical one.
Both. Roughly half our work is redesigns. If the existing site has good content and you simply need the structure and design rebuilt, that is usually better value than starting from nothing.
Yes. If they are good, we build around them. We will tell you honestly if the logo or the copy is the thing holding the site back, but that is a separate conversation from the build.
We fix anything that turns out to be broken, free of charge for the first month. After that it goes on the maintenance plan, or you can run it yourself — the site is handed over in your name either way.
Why work with us
