Who we are
Development by Niaz is a web development and digital solutions studio based in Pakistan. We build websites, including WordPress and Shopify builds, and we also do UI/UX design, SEO and digital marketing.
When you send us an enquiry, Development by Niaz is the controller of that information: we decide why it is collected and how long it is kept. For anything privacy-related, contact us at info@developmentbyniaz.com.
Information we collect
When you contact us or submit an enquiry through this website, we collect exactly what you type into the form:
- Your name.
- Your email address, so we can reply to you.
- The service you are interested in.
- Your message, including any details about your project.
That is the whole list of form fields. The form has no field for a phone number, so we are not given one unless you put it in your message yourself.
Our hosting provider’s servers keep ordinary technical logs, such as IP addresses and user-agent strings, for security and to keep the site running. Those are our provider’s logs, not something we ask you for or hand on.
We also receive analytics information about visits to the public site: the pages viewed, the site you arrived from, your approximate location, and your device or browser type. It is used in aggregate to see which pages are useful and where the site can be improved. Google Analytics may link this information to a cookie or other identifier as described below; we do not use it to identify you by name.
Information we do not ask for
We do not ask for sensitive personal information, financial account credentials, passwords or government identification through our general enquiry forms. Please avoid including confidential information in your messages unless it is genuinely needed for a project and we have agreed a suitable way to share it.
How we use your information
We use what you send us to:
- Reply to your enquiry and answer your questions.
- Understand what your project needs and prepare a proposal.
- Talk about scope, pricing and progress on work we have agreed.
- Keep the site secure and stop spam or misuse of the form.
- Meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to advertisers.
Legal basis for processing
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on one or more of the following:
- Your consent. For example, if you ask us to keep your details for future updates.
- Steps requested by you before entering a contract. For example, preparing a quote.
- Performing a contract we have agreed with you, or taking steps towards one.
- Our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving the business, balanced against your interests and rights.
- Compliance with a legal obligation.
Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time, subject to applicable law. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing we carried out before you withdrew it.
How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably necessary for the purposes described here.
Enquiry records are kept so we can maintain the conversation, pick up a possible project later and keep a consistent history. Project and business records are kept longer where accounting, tax, security or other legal requirements call for it.
You can ask us to delete your information at any time, subject to any retention requirement that applies.
Analytics and tracking
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-V3G2WQ71PG) to understand how the public website is used. It records information such as the pages visited, the referral source, approximate location, device and browser, and interactions with the site. We use the reports in aggregate to improve the site. We do not use Google Analytics to identify you by name or to serve advertising.
Google Analytics is provided by Google LLC. It may set first-party cookies and receives the information described above. Google’s handling of that data is covered by Google’s privacy policy. We do not send your name, email address, phone number or enquiry message to Google Analytics.
You can block analytics cookies or delete existing ones through your browser settings; blocking them does not stop you using the public site. Google also provides an opt-out browser add-on that applies across websites.
Third-party services
Hostinger hosts this website, stores the database holding your enquiry, and relays the notification email we send ourselves when you submit the form. It acts on our instructions and cannot use your information for its own purposes.
Google Analytics, provided by Google LLC, processes the analytics information described above. Google handles that data under its own terms and privacy policy; we do not send it your enquiry details.
We also link to our social profiles in the footer. Those links take you to other websites which have their own privacy policies; this policy does not cover what they do with your information if you follow them.
International data transfers
This website, the database holding your enquiry, and the mail servers carrying our notification email are all provided by Hostinger, whose servers are outside the UK and European Economic Area. If you are in the UK or the EEA, your enquiry is therefore transferred outside it.
Where that happens we rely on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, and we keep the transferred data to the minimum needed to answer you.
Analytics data may also be processed by Google outside the UK and the European Economic Area. Google’s privacy policy explains the safeguards it uses for those transfers.
How we protect your information
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures: traffic is encrypted in transit, passwords to the dashboard are stored as salted hashes rather than readable text, and access to your enquiry is limited to the people who need it to answer you.
No website, email system or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. For that reason, please do not send anything sensitive — passwords, card details, identity documents — through an ordinary website form. Ask us for a better way if a project genuinely requires it.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
- Delete your information in certain circumstances.
- Object to certain kinds of processing.
- Restrict how your information is used.
- Withdraw consent where we are relying on it.
- Request portability — get a copy in a format you can move elsewhere.
- Lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
Email us at info@developmentbyniaz.com and we will deal with it. There is no form and no fee. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act on a request.
Children’s privacy
This website and our services are for a general business audience and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information through our enquiry forms.
If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will review it and delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services, our technology or our legal obligations change. The current version is always published on this page with an updated review date, and we encourage you to read it again occasionally.
